We welcome new visitors to the EELMAN RECORDS website.
For the past four years, commence September 2005, John Niland & John McDougall on a regular basis building a new series of compositions with Thelma Balekasavu, and joined by Rapai Te Hau. This is Wellignton Music. The outcome is a new Wellington sound, goodbastard...The band have been rehearsing in living rooms and jamming in lounges; putting together a repertoire of new tunes. They have decided it is time to unleash their mongrel sound amongst the music and mongrel loving public. Dog control officers attending their inaugural show, described them as ‘Well behaved’. And as an afterthought; “Those licks are good enough to make you drool”. ....

The Hulamen at the famous Terminus gig. Note stage and that dancing high above and on the rare occasion on stage were the stylish Hulettes (Nikki Hawes and Nicky Brydon), known as the fabulous Hoolets.
Pianist, composer and Eelman Records label co-founder, John Niland recorded "inside" at Marmalade Studios, Wellington in 1985 and this is the first time this album has been available on CD.
