Gerry Moran added his touch of theatre and authentic madness to the Hulamen set.
His most famous gig was at Thorndon when unbeknowns to the band he climbed the scaffold and upon the song 'Help, Help" starting up startled everybody in the audience by jumping about like a lunatic, singing, "think I should be locked away and help, help, help, help".

But there is also a serious thoughtful side as well. Most famous for his lyrics for "Working For A Living" which touch on another side of life.
